Sai Kishore Takes Five as Gloucestershire Rout Derbyshire

Sai Kishore took five wickets as Gloucestershire completed a 213-run victory over Derbyshire in their County Championship Division Two match at the Seat Unique Stadium in Bristol. The ECB Reporters' Network, published by BBC Sport, reported that Derbyshire were dismissed for 105 in fewer than 39 overs after being set 319 to win.

The India international returned figures of 5-20 from 18 overs, leading a Gloucestershire spin attack that claimed all 10 second-innings wickets. Ollie Price took 3-59 and Ed Middleton added 2-17 as the hosts turned a match that began with them reduced to 37-5 into a commanding win.

Gloucestershire built the platform earlier on the final day through Miles Hammond and James Bracey. Hammond scored 118 and Bracey finished unbeaten on 104 in a fourth-wicket partnership worth 165, allowing the home side to declare at 359-5. Bracey, who had made 113 in the first innings, became the first Gloucestershire player since Alex Gidman in 2007 to score two centuries in a first-class match.

Derbyshire faced a steep required rate and instead focused on survival, but Sai Kishore broke through immediately after tea. He trapped Harry Came leg before wicket and bowled Matt Montgomery with successive deliveries, then had Wayne Madsen caught at second slip as Derbyshire slipped to 32-3. Price removed Mohammed Bin Naeem leg before to deepen the collapse.

Sai Kishore completed his five-wicket haul inside eight overs by bowling Aneurin Donald and Brooke Guest within three deliveries, leaving the visitors 41-6. Martin Andersson provided Derbyshire's only sustained resistance with 35, but Middleton had him caught at first slip. Price then dismissed Jack Morley and Brett Randell to finish the match, ending with combined figures of 9-104 across Derbyshire's two innings.

The win earned Gloucestershire 19 points and stopped a run of six consecutive defeats. Both of their victories this season have come against Derbyshire, making this result especially valuable for a side that entered the match at the bottom of the Division Two table. The performance was defined by Bracey's twin centuries and a final-session spin assault that converted a difficult first-day position into a decisive victory.
