Robinson duo score five rushing touchdowns as Falcons beat Saints 45-24
Bijan Robinson and Brian Robinson Jr. combined for five rushing touchdowns as Atlanta won 45-24 in New Orleans. The Falcons moved to 2-2 on the Saints' Superdome anniversary night.

Atlanta's running backs supplied five touchdowns as the Falcons beat the New Orleans Saints 45-24 at the Caesars Superdome on Monday night. The victory brought Atlanta to 2-2 and a share of the NFC South lead with Carolina, while New Orleans slipped to 1-3, according to the Saints' official game recap.

Watch the highlights:

Bijan Robinson finished with 145 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Brian Robinson Jr. added 62 yards and three scores. Bijan opened the scoring with a 59-yard run on Atlanta's third offensive play. The Saints' recap reported that the Falcons led throughout, with their two principal runners accounting for all five of the team's touchdowns on the ground.

The result came during New Orleans' commemoration of the Superdome's reopening after Hurricane Katrina. Steve Gleason and Curtis Deloatch joined former teammates to lead the pregame crowd chant, and Irma Thomas performed the national anthem, the club reported. Field Level Media noted that the anniversary marked the Saints' 23-3 Monday-night victory over Atlanta 20 years earlier.

Atlanta built a 14-0 advantage in the first quarter and went into halftime ahead 24-7. The Football Database's scoring summary records a 27-yard Saints field goal in the third quarter before Brian Robinson answered with an eight-yard touchdown run. That restored a 21-point cushion at 31-10, leaving New Orleans facing another substantial deficit entering the final period.

The Falcons added two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Michael Penix connected with Jahan Dotson for a 31-yard score, and Brian Robinson later scored from 11 yards, according to the scoring summary. New Orleans' final touchdown was a three-yard pass from Tyler Shough to Devaughn Vele. Shough finished with 286 passing yards on 48 attempts, Field Level Media reported.

For Atlanta, it was a second consecutive emphatic road win after a 35-14 victory at Green Bay 11 days earlier, according to Field Level Media. NFL.com reported that the Falcons have won both games since Penix returned and now have three successive victories over the Saints. New Orleans, meanwhile, has lost two straight games.
