Nico Paz scores twice as Como beat Manchester United 4-1
Nico Paz scored twice and supplied an assist as Como defeated Manchester United 4-1 in the Champions League. United have now gone seven matches without a win.

Como defeated Manchester United 4-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday, with Nico Paz scoring twice and creating another goal at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia stadium. Reuters reported that the Argentine was involved in each of the first three goals, before Jacobo Ramón completed the home side’s scoring in the second half.

Watch the highlights:

Paz opened the scoring in the second minute, curling a shot beyond Senne Lammens. United had already threatened through Diogo Dalot, who shot wide after receiving a Matheus Cunha cross, according to Sky Sports. Harry Maguire subsequently headed wide, while Tasos Douvikas missed an opportunity to increase Como’s advantage before the interval.

Michael Carrick made two substitutions at half-time, introducing Amad Diallo and Carlos Baleba in place of Andrey Santos and Cunha. The changes did not prevent another early concession. Four minutes after the restart, Paz supplied the pass for Douvikas to get behind United’s defence and finish past Lammens, putting Como two goals ahead.

The third arrived in the 57th minute. Reuters described Paz winning possession from Baleba near the right touchline before carrying the ball diagonally towards goal. He advanced into the penalty area and finished left-footed inside the far post, giving United a three-goal deficit with more than half an hour still to play.

Como extended their lead in the 76th minute when substitute Kaiki Bruno delivered a cross from the left for Ramón to head home. Joshua Zirkzee eventually scored for United in stoppage time from an Amad cross. His late goal reduced the margin but left the visitors with a comprehensive defeat in Italy.

The result gave Como six points from three league-phase matches, while United remained on three, according to TUDN’s match report. Cesc Fàbregas’s side scored three times after half-time, turning a narrow interval advantage into a victory secured well before Zirkzee’s late reply.

For United, Sky Sports reported that the defeat extended their winless run across all competitions to seven matches. Their next Premier League fixture is at home against Bournemouth on Sunday, offering Carrick’s side an opportunity to end that sequence after a difficult European trip.
