Luis Enrique Signs PSG Contract Extension Through 2030

Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a three-year contract extension with head coach Luis Enrique, keeping the Spaniard at the French champions through 2030. BBC Sport and Agence France-Presse reported that his previous agreement was due to expire at the end of the current season. The club announced the new deal on Friday before its Ligue 1 home match against Monaco.

The 56-year-old has been in charge since July 2023, when he succeeded Christophe Galtier. During his first three seasons, PSG won three consecutive Ligue 1 titles and two French Cups. The club also secured back-to-back Champions League trophies, the first two European Cups in its history.

PSG won the 2025 Champions League final 5-0 against Inter Milan, delivering the continental title the club had long pursued. Luis Enrique's side then retained the trophy in May 2026 by defeating Arsenal on penalties. Those results made PSG the two-time defending European champions when the extension was confirmed.

The announcement also covered new contracts for five members of the first-team squad. Midfielder Joao Neves, defenders Willian Pacho and Lucas Beraldo, and Senny Mayulu signed extensions through 2031. Spain midfielder Fabian Ruiz agreed terms through 2028, according to the BBC report.

AFP reported that Luis Enrique and the five players were presented to supporters before the Monaco fixture. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said the group represented both the present and future of the club's project and linked the extensions to PSG's effort to build for the long term. The announcement did not disclose financial terms for the coach or players.

Luis Enrique previously managed Barcelona and the Spanish national team before taking the PSG position. His new contract could extend his stay in Paris to seven seasons if completed. For PSG, the agreement preserves continuity under the coach who delivered its breakthrough in Europe while the longer player contracts retain several established members of the squad beyond the end of the decade, across domestic and European competition.
